Advent 2023 - Day Eight

Today it is my beautiful Serena's (Stevie) turn.  

The sun is shining through the patio doors and it is a beautiful morning.

She looks for the door for today.

It doesn't take her long to find it.

She opens it up.

Hmmm...I wonder what this is?

Oh lucky Serena, she has a little baker helper.

What fun!

She puts the child on the scene.

Fortunately they have a little step stool to stand on so they can help with the baking.

Very nice.

Advent 2023 - Day Seven

Day Seven finds my toddler Bonnie ready to open the calendar.

She is a sweet little girl and quite excited to be opening it all by herself.

She is pretty sure she can find the right door all by herself too.

Sure enough it doesn't take her long.

She opens the door and reaches in.

Oh I wonder what she has found?

Some little bits to put together

I wonder what they are?

Looks like she has managed.

It is a little flower arrangement and recipe card by the looks of things.

She puts it down on the scene.

I think it is candles actually Bonnie.

She looks quite happy having a conversation with Father Christmas.

Advent 2023 - Day Six

Mary Ellen, my lovely 1969 Dungarees Sasha is opening today's door.

She spends a little time looking for it,

not realising it was right beside her at the top of the tree.

She opens it up and takes out the gift.

Oh that looks red and white!

It is Father Christmas!

Mary Ellen is delighted to have Father Christmas in her gift today.

She puts his accessories on

He is ready to go on the little scene with his list of good children.

There he goes.

I wonder what else we will find behind the little windows?

Advent 2023 - Day Five

Today Summer is going to open the Advent Calendar.  She chose the gingerbread man dress to wear for Christmas.

She finds the door very quickly.

Opens it up

and finds three little mixing bowls inside.

Just what the baker needs!

She puts them on the counter for her.

It is starting to look like some cakes will be made soon!
