Hey Rory, will you and Edward come and help me set the tent up as it is going to be really hot again today. Henry asks Rory and Edward as they are looking in the pond.
What tent? Rory asks.
The one over there. Henry points as Edward gets up from looking in the pond with Rory, to have a look.
The tent is lying on the ground.
What sort of tent is it? Edward asks.
It it a Native American Tepee type tent. Henry tells them.
The boys get to work trying to assemble the tent.
It is not as easy as it looks...
Oh no! Exclaims Rory, as the tent poles and tent collapses
Never mind Rory, we can try again. Henry says.
A few moments later....
What are you doing Rory? Edward asks.
I'm resting, it is just too hot and too hard to get the tent up. Rory tells him.
Don't give up Rory! Henry says. We need to get it up now before it gets any hotter.
Rory reluctantly agrees, thinking he was quite happy resting on the hammock.
Rory goes inside the tent to hold the poles while Edward and Henry get them set up from the outside.
Will you guys be much long? Rory asks. My arms are aching.
Almost done. Henry tells him.
There, all done. Henry says to Rory. We can go and get some things for the inside of the tent, and a rug or something.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun your little boys had building their teepee Lorraine. I loved this short story, the photos were wonderful and the props perfect.

I don't blame Rory; that hammock looks awfully inviting. It's a great looking tepee though, and I'm glad they got it up.
ReplyDeleteNow they can have an outdoor pyjama party! I just hope there will be two more hammocks, else they'll have to take turns at using it.
