Advent 2020: Day Five

Baby Natalie, is featuring for Advent Day Five.  She was my super bargain charity shop find last Christmas.  She is deep in conversation with the Christmas bear by the looks of things!

She is wearing a little Christmas dress I made for her last year.

Advent 2020: Day Four

Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.  And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:20 - 21)

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary his betrothed wife, who was with child. (Luke 2:4 - 5)

(Joseph played by Donny, Mary played by Molly)

Advent 2020: Day Three

Cold and wet outside today,

Sophia looks wistfully out the window as she represents Day Three in Advent wearing a snowman dress

Sophia is the 'model' of the Sasha Haven family, although she hasn't had any modelling jobs for a while now, so is just taking it easy until she does.

Advent 2020: Day Two

And the angel said to her,

"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God.

And behold, you will conceive in your  womb, and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus"

Luke 1:30

My lovely Molly is taking the role of Mary during this season of Advent.

Advent 2020: Day 1

For my lovely followers of my other blogs, who look forward to my Advent posts each year, sadly there will be no Advent Calendar this year... so instead I thought I would try and do a Sasha/Gregor Christmas themed orientated post each day... that is the aim anyway.

Kicking off Advent Day One, is Everlee Rose in her new Christmas shoes (a VERY early Christmas present from a friend) wearing a Christmas dress.

Yes we still have flowers in the garden!

Christmas dress made by myself several years ago.

I still have some Christmas dresses available in my Etsy Shop: Muriel Makes

As a side note, I realised today why I haven't been blogging much - I really hate this new blogger interface, it is so much unfriendlier to use than the previous version.  Nothing works like it should do, and something that took one action, now takes a minimum of three.

I think during the last few months, too much 'fixing what ain't broke' has been going on, on the various different platforms, and none of it has been for the best!

Exciting News!

Have you heard the news?  Emily asks.

What news?  Asks Molly.

A new family member is supposed to be arriving!  We haven't had a new family member arrive for over two years!  (The exception of course being Baby Natalie, mentioned in a previous post)

They discuss who it might be while waiting for the travel carriage to arrive.

Ooh look, here it is.  Molly says as she looks intently at the box.

Come on Henry, open it up.  Says Rory.

Henry starts cutting it open.

Carefully does it Henry.  Molly says.

The outer layer off, they start to open the travel box.

They look inside puzzled.

There is another carrier tube inside! Rory says.

Emily looks closely...

Do you think we are getting a sister?  Emily turns to ask Everlee Rose.

I heard the boys were getting a brother.  Everlee Rose tells Emily.

They will outnumber us if we are not careful!  Emily replies.

Rory wonders if he can lift up the tube to help whoever is inside out.

Emily and Henry thinks it is worth a try...

It must have worked as before long Henry is shaking hands and welcoming the new boy.

Everlee Rose and Molly say hello as he turns to them.

They can't wait to learn more about him.

The new boy's arrival photos.

I am sure he is going to fit in really well.

Baby Natalie

In December last year I had an amazing find... a baby Sasha in a charity shop for £1.30!  I couldn't quite believe it and didn't hesitate for a second as you can imagine.  I found her on my wedding anniversary so the timing couldn't have been better either.  I have made her a couple of outfits so far, but thought I would knit her a little romper and bootie set.  I knitted the rompers yesterday and will hopefully find my pattern for the booties today so I can sit and knit them this evening.

I don't knit many things in pink but got this fabulous NZ wool from Whangarei when wool shopping with a dear friend of mine last year.

Funnily enough the photo colour makes it look more like soft lilacs, but it might just be my monitor or the time of day I took the photo.  I think the colour suits Natalie quite well though and she seems to be happy with the little outfit.

Advent & Christmas 2025

I was seriously ill last year, and have been recovering all year, but fortunately although still not completely well, I am home this year so...
